HBA HONK House
The Home Builders Association of Northern Kentucky (HBA), in proud partnership with Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky (HONK), a 501c3 nonprofit Organization, is pleased to announce the completion of a new home for a needy family. The home is designed for a physically challenged homeowner that meets HONK’s income requirements.
Jim Stegman, of Stegman Construction said, “We are very proud that so many of our own members, themselves experiencing the effects of this economy, stepped up to the plate to create a beautiful home for a deserving owner. There were dozens of volunteers working countless hours and dozens of members donating thousands of dollars of materials that made this happen.” The home is valued over $100,000.
The home is designed for a physically challenged adult. It has a concrete ramp and special design features to make the home more livable for people with special limitations. Income requirements are taken into account and services are provided by HONK to help those that may move into homeownership.
HONK's mission is to provide affordable housing and financial education to its recipient families, so that their lives may be enriched for years to come.
